Innovation starts with a spark: an idea, a solution, a new way of thinking, of doing….OverviewThe Maker Innovation Space is a critical part of the USAID Building University-Industry Learning and Development through Innovation and Technology (BUILD-IT) Alliance, a five-year project funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The space is a key component in initiating a culture of innovation by providing an experiential space where students and faculty can design, create, innovate, and develop work-ready competencies. The area is designed to empower faculty and students to engage in a range of activities such as sharing ideas, designing, building, and developing new products.
