The Flipped Classroom instructional methodology has been gaining prominence in classrooms all around the world. This type of teaching methodology promotes a student-centered and active learning approach to tertiary education. By using technology such as a Learning Management System, instructors are able to utilized different content delivery modalities outside of the classroom, which allow them to focus on more productive tasks inside the classroom. This seminar will take participants though the pedagogy of a flipped classroom environment, workshop the instructional design of a flipped classroom, give advice and suggestions on video production and creation, and end with a demonstration of what a flipped classroom looks like for Arizona State University or BUILD-IT’s Master Teacher Training.
