Instructor: Mr. Thai Tran, Ms. Ha Mai -- Arizona State University

Attendees: Division/Department Chairs and Leaders, ABET teams for targeted programs and other interested units

Expected Outcomes:  This workshop will use a coaching approach to develop accreditation team expertise in writing self-study reports (SSRs).  The SSR is the primary document a program uses to demonstrate its compliance with all applicable ABET criteria and policies. Essentially, the SAR will be the major source of information used by the program evaluator. The goal of the workshop is to guide the programs on how to write an SSR that clearly and succinctly demonstrates the program’s compliance of ABET criteria and the relevant portions of ABET Accreditation Policy and Procedure Manual (APPM).  To do this, program accreditation teams will focus on sections of SSR templates related to stakeholder input and continuous improvement.  Significant opportunities for questions and clarifications will be provided.  Outcomes will be more effective and efficient accreditation preparations.
