About the Playbook Forums: The 2022 series of BUILD-IT forums focus on key topics from the BUILD-IT playbooks as prioritized by university partners. Topics may include Institutional Accreditation, Project Based-Learning, Digital Immersion Learning, Program Accreditation (AUN-ABET), Industry Advisory Boards, Women in STEM, Maker Innovation Network, and Faculty Development and Active Learning, etc.  Sessions will be held face-to-face (public health permitting) utilizing locations in Hanoi and HCMC. ASU and Vietnamese faculty experts will teach and conduct these sessions. BUILD-IT anticipates that the Playbooks will become recognized resources and utilized for university and HEI planning and will be utilized to build scale – reaching additional universities and engineering programs throughout Vietnam for sustainable, nationwide change.

About Women in STEM: Through the digital pedagogy in higher education playbook, BUILD-IT university partners have access to a tested and proven manual for educators to assure that women benefit from applied projects. It is a starting point to inspire gender-responsive programming, mitigate gender barriers, and promote equitable learning outcomes during applied projects. A collaborative effort between ASU and its six strategic partner universities, this playbook depicts support services, workshops and webinars prepared to be launched at scale to expand the knowledge base and skill set of higher education educators interested in enrolling, supporting, and graduating women in STEM in Vietnam.

About the Women in STEM Forum: Celebrating the successful partnership between USAID, BUILD-IT and their strategic partner universities, this forum explores the positive impact of Women in STEM support services designed, implemented and conducted by BUILD-IT partner universities and Arizona State University.  Participants in this forum experience the successes and challenges of enrolling, supporting and graduating women in STEM fields. The audience will hear from experts in academia and industry in strategies, including designing for her needs, innovating for her success, and building equitable teams. Other areas integral to the success of women in STEM - partnering with women and piloting gender-responsive programs - will be discussed in panels and celebrated in success stories.
