Charter Design Session

Design Session Pre-work: 
Completion of Stakeholder Experience Map using provided template from webinar. Assignment will ask institutional teams to identify how successful implementation of the strategy impacts the relationship of different stakeholders within the university. This will serve as an input into the Charter Design session.

Charter Design Session: 

  • Venue: Onsite – LHU’s campus
  • Supply needs: flip charts, post-it notes, markers, tables of 4-5 based on participant numbers. Projector and computer, instructor table for laying out materials. 
  • Instructors: Dr. Tamara Christensen, Mr. Joel Dupuis - University Design Institute (UDI) at ASU
  • Attendees: LHU University and Academic Leadership teams
  • KPI: Directly supports Core Activity 1; KPI 3, 6, 10, 11
  • Expected Outcomes:  In these facilitated working sessions, teams will begin a deep dive into the distillation of their strategic plans into a charter. This session will provide: Institutional prioritization of core values from their strategic plans; Initial draft charter for institutions to advance for further review within their institutions and for coaching milestones.  
  • Agenda:
    1:30pm: Welcome, introductions and session overview. As part of this welcome, participants will build upon their knowledge from the first two webinars with an exploration of the charter as an institutional, and leadership, legacy.
    1:45pm: Strategic Futures Exploration; strategic experience map from their pre-work

    2:40pm: Values Exploration. 
    3:20pm:  Biological Break
    3:35pm: Draft development - values driven charter.
